  • A Shonentard is a highly moronic teen or sad adult that loves and takes action shonens seriously (action shonens: anime that focus on mindless fights, lack of realism, dumb characters, and terrible everything, besides an occasionally good OST). Shonentards generally: a). pay no mind to the fact that their show follows no logic and lacks realism, b). act very dumb online, c). consider seinen (seinen: opposite of shonen) that don't have lots of violence and fanservice to be boring, d). don't like any realistic characters who lack a traumatic event from their past and are now motivated by friendship to protect the ones they love, and in turn claim realistic characters lack characterisation because of their lack of the aforementioned traits, e). only care about their unchoreographed fights, what happens next in the senseless story, how cool a character is (character coolness to a shonentard is different from that of a normal person and usually evolves into becoming attracted to characters and mix and matching them into imagined relationships), and how good the music is, paying little to no attention to the real nuances and factors that make films entertaining, f). buy lots of related merchandise and/or cosplay simply to boost their own fandom, g). are easily manipulated by plot-driven shonens into thinking they're intelligent, when really they consist of lame battles of fake logic combined w/ fake emotion.

9. Targeting T-Cell Activation for Malaria Immunotherapy: Scoping Review

  • Malaria remains a critical global health issue due to high mortality rates, drug resistance, and low treatment efficacy. The genetic variability of Plasmodium proteins complicates the development of long-lasting immunity, as it impedes the human immune system’s ability to sustain effective responses. T cells play a crucial role in combating malaria, but the parasite’s complex life cycle—spanning liver and blood stages—presents significant challenges in effectively activating and targeting these cells. Immunotherapy, which enhances the immune response and promotes durable T cell activity, offers a promising avenue for more effective and lasting malaria treatments. This review systematically analyzed 63 studies published in the last decade, focusing on the role of T cells in malaria. Among the studies, 87.2% targeted T cells as immunotherapy candidates, with CD4+ and CD8+ T cells each accounting for 47.6% of the studies. γδ T cells were the focus in 7.9% of cases, while 12.7% explored non-T cell contributions to enhancing T cell-mediated responses. The findings underscore the potential of T cells, particularly CD8+ T cells, in liver-stage defense and advocate for the exploration of advanced vaccine platforms and novel therapies, such as mRNA-based vectors and monoclonal antibodies.

  • The Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart solutions have been developed to predict water quality and they are becoming an increasingly important means of providing efficient solutions through communication technologies. IoT systems are used for enabling connection between various devices based on the ability to gather and collect information. Furthermore, IoT systems are designed to address the environment and the automation industry. The threats associated with aquaponics farming are managed through an IoT-based smart water monitoring framework, which has become increasingly relevant in recent days. Therefore, this approach is crucial for achieving a remarkable improvement in order to increase the productivity rate and yield. The quality of water directly affects the rate of growth, efficiency of feed, and the overall health rate of the fish, plants, and bacteria. Insufficient knowledge about species selection poses a significant challenge in aquaponics farming, as it heavily relies on the water quality parameters. To address the challenges of conventional models, we have developed an effective IoT-based water quality prediction model, more specifically designed for aquaponic fish ponds. The data needed to perform the developed water quality prediction model will be acquired from “a simple dataset of aquaponic fish pond IoT” database. After that, these data are forwarded to the feature extraction phase. The weighted features, DBN (Deep Belief Network) features, and the origin...

  • Communication disorders are one of the most common disorders that, if not treated in childhood, can cause many social, educational, and psychological problems in adulthood. One of the technologies that can be helpful in these disorders is mobile health (m-Health) technology. This study aims to examine the attitude and willingness to use this technology and compare the advantages and challenges of this technology and face-to-face treatment from the perspective of patients. This descriptive study was conducted with a researcher-made questionnaire and investigated the willingness and attitude of patients with communication disorders to use mobile health technology. The face and content validity of the questionnaire were examined with the help of experts in speech therapy, health information management, and medical informatics. Chi-square, Fisher's exact test, and the Kruskal–Wallis test were used to analyze the relationship between variables. Also, the challenges and advantages of mobile health technology and face-to-face treatment were extracted from the patient's answers and presented in the form of main themes and sub-themes. One hundred seventy patients participated in this study. The results of this study showed that 57 (33.5%) participants preferred face-to-face visits, 11 (6.5%) preferred m-Health, and 102 (60.0%) preferred the combination of mobile applications and the face-to-face visits method. The results showed a statistically significant relationship between "Reside...
